YOU WERE BORN WITH WINGS, WHY CRAWL?

YOUTH CORNER

"You Were Born with Wings! Why Crawl?" – Rumi

Discover the Greatness Within You

"You were born with wings! Why crawl?" These simple yet powerful words from Rumi carry a profound message for every young person. They remind us that each of us is born with extraordinary potential. We are not meant to live limited by fear, self-doubt, or the expectations of others. We are meant to rise, dream, create, and make a meaningful difference.

Unfortunately, many people spend their lives believing they are ordinary. They compare themselves with others, fear failure, and hesitate to pursue their dreams. In doing so, they choose to crawl when they were born to fly.

Your "wings" are your talents, imagination, curiosity, determination, and compassion. Every individual possesses unique gifts. Some excel in science, others in sports, music, literature, technology, entrepreneurship, or serving society. The challenge is not to become someone else—it is to discover and develop the strengths that already lie within you.

History is filled with individuals who dared to believe in themselves. Great scientists, artists, inventors, leaders, and social reformers were once ordinary young people with extraordinary dreams. They faced rejection, setbacks, and criticism, yet they refused to surrender. Their courage became the wind beneath their wings.

Failure should never be viewed as the end of the journey. Instead, it is a valuable teacher. Every setback provides lessons that make us wiser, stronger, and better prepared for future success. Those who eventually soar are often those who have stumbled the most—but never stopped trying.

The digital age offers young people unprecedented opportunities. Knowledge is available at your fingertips. Skills can be learned online. Innovation knows no boundaries. However, technology should be a tool that empowers your dreams, not a distraction that steals your time and creativity.

Believe in yourself even when others doubt you. Set meaningful goals. Read widely. Learn continuously. Stay physically active. Build strong character. Treat people with kindness and respect. Success without integrity has little value, but success built on honesty, perseverance, and compassion leaves a lasting legacy.

Rumi's timeless message is not merely about achievement—it is about becoming the very best version of yourself. Every day presents a new opportunity to spread your wings a little wider and fly a little higher.

So, the next time fear whispers that you are not good enough, remember these inspiring words:

"you were born with wings! why crawl?"

The sky has always been waiting for you. Have the courage to soar.
